JAPAN won the bid to host World Expo 2025 and we will be there for the grand opening, April 13, 2025. Held in Osaka, the theme of Expo 2025 is “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” The theme is intended to make attendees think about how they want to live and how they can maximize their potential.

For many Japanese, the blooming of the cherry blossom trees symbolises human life, transience and nobleness. The Japanese love to celebrate and cherish the cherry blossoms trees during the limited flowering period and many people hold 'flower watching' parties known as Hanami. We will partake in this amazing tradition as we will arrive just in time to for the blossoms of the season.

Japan is famous for its version of Ramen Soup! Traditionally, Chinese ramen soup is almost always made from chicken bones. Japanese ramen soup, on the other hand, is not just made from chicken bones, but also ingredients that were never traditionally used in China, such as pork bones, shellfish, beef bones, fish, or even vegetables. YUM!

Sushi has long been a staple and delicacy of the culture and traditions of Japan, with different forms of preparations, styles, and serving methods that have turned this dish into a universal sensation all across the globe. Sushi offers an experience of natural beauty, excellence, and energy that drives our social, intellectual, spiritual, and biological evolution. It provides a level of satisfaction through both its simplicity and intricate level of preparation that brings upon people an emotional satisfaction and energizing spirit. Its visual aesthetics, presentation, and textures are as important as its taste, and no doubt define sushi as a true piece of art.  On this journey, we will enjoy a hands-on Sushi making class all while savoring every bite of this Japanese legacy,

If you’ve ever wondered about Japan’s most intriguing cultural tradition, look no further as we will venture into the neighborhood of the Geishas!

Geishas are highly respected in Japan. The primary role of a Geisha – throughout history and in the modern day – is to professionally entertain, usually at teahouses and restaurants for parties of businessmen. This entertainment encompasses a variety of traditional Japanese arts, ranging from artistic performance skills like singing, dancing, and music to cultural traditions like calligraphy, tea ceremonies, and flower arranging. Japanese geisha are also trained to play traditional instruments like the flute or three-stringed shamisen. Hospitality and social skills like conversation and hosting are also key components of being a Geisha.

While seeing a Geisha in Japan is extremely rare, as we venture through the neighborhoods of Kyoto you just may get lucky!

Tokyo City is a whole vibe . . . Day or Night

Join us as we visit the Itsukushima Shrine in Miyajima, a classic and iconic Japanese site that's best known for its incredible 'floating' gate. Laced with history and a UNESCO Heritage Site, it is dedicated to the 3 daughters of Susanso-o no Mikoto, the Shinto diety of seas and storms. The spectacular gate, or torii, of Itsukushima Shrine is one of Japan's most popular tourist attractions, and the most recognizable and celebrated feature of the Itsukushima Shrine. At high tide, it appears to be magically floating, but, at other times, one can actually walk out to it.

Who’s Bad? Hopefully you! We can’t leave Japan without doing one of THE BEST activities ever!

During your free time, join in as the brave ones in the group grab a Go-Kart and roll through the streets of Tokyo! It's one of the funniest things you’ll ever done in our life. And, peep this — the course is safe and cars/people are very respectful of the GoKarts on the street The highly trained tour guides are very attentive and always aware of everything. A once in a lifetime experience for sure!
